How much does it cost?

  • With Health Insurance – Band $4476, Sleeve $4940

If you have Private Health Insurance

The fees specified above are the out-of-pocket costs (or the Gap), after receiving your rebates from Medicare, health insurance etc. These fees cover everything in our Complete Care program.

The program fee includes:

  • Your choice of weight loss procedure (including surgeon, anaesthetist, and assistant fees)
  • Unlimited surgeon consultations
  • Telephone based support
  • All band check-ups (performed by our surgeon)
  • All band adjustments including Huber needles and consumables
  • Up to 14 consultations with our Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist and psychologist.
  • Unlimited support group meetings

What’s not included:
Low calorie diet meal replacements, vitamins, health fund excesses, costs relating to blood tests and other investigations (such as Xrays), pharmacy expenses, and other specialist consultations (such as sleep apnoea diagnosis and treatment), or additional services provided in the event of a medical emergency. These costs are not covered by the program fee.

Private Health Insurance – check that you are covered
The hospital costs associated with weight loss procedures are usually covered by private health insurers. A 12-month waiting period usually applies if you have recently joined a health fund. To find out if you are covered, contact your health fund and quote the Medicare item numbers 30511 and 30518.
